Halloween Card Series2011 Day 1

Good morning everyone!

I want to say a quick "Thank You" to all of my new followers!=) Today kicks off the first day of my 2011 Halloween card series..Im so excited!!

For this card I used a digi image from http://www.simplybettystamps.com/ she's such a cutie isn't she?? The sentiment comes from the Amy R Ghostly Greetings stamp set from http://www.allthatscraps.com/ I colored her with my prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol (odorless mineral spirits) on some Papertrey Ink stampers select cardstock. I used the Matilda 6x6 paper pad from Cosmo Cricket and a little twine from the twinery. You can see the process on my youtube channel (scrappyhour09)

I hope you all enjoy this series and come back tomorrow for Day 2! I havent quite decided how many vids will be in this series just yet,Im aiming for at least 5 but if I get more that's great! You can imagine how hard it is to make a bunch of cards with two toddlers running around wreaking havoc=)

See you soon!

Mojo..

I think I may be slowly getting my mojo back (YAY!!!) Ive been so bummed out thinking that it may not return in time for the Halloween Card series that I was planning, but now I believe the show will go on=) Ive already filmed the first vid in the series but will probably wait until I get the last of my Halloween supplies that I ordered before uploading anything. This past week my hubby was off and we celebrated his "birth week" lol so I didnt really get a whole lot of crafting done, but I needed a few thank you cards so here is what I came up with.

This first card I used some scraps of paper that I had lyin around. The blue dot paper is from Bo Bunny Whooligans (last years halloween line) and the rest I cant remember where they are from sorry! The little striped flags are a Studio calico stamp and the main witch image is from CC Designs..I colored her up with my prismacolor pencils as usual and the sentiment is from the Amy R Ghostly Greetings set.

And for this second card I used my new Paper Smooches "My Peeps" stamp set that came in yesterday..I just love these little birdies!! I used the MME Life of the Party papers..it was a pretty simple card to make and Im pretty happy with how it came out.

Anywho, as soon as the rest of my packages come in I will have a haul video for you all and then the halloween card series should follow soon!=) I hope you all have a great week!

On the Mend

Just another quick card share for you all today. I made this card a few days ago but am just getting around to posting it. I used my new Lawn Fawn " On the Mend" stamp set..my favorite image is this little bandaid..and you all know how much I love rainbows..I thought they went well together since rainbows are cheerful and whatnot=) I used several patterns from different 6x6 paper pads in my stash. The little pink ribbon wasnt exactly what I had in mind at first (I was going to use twine) but I had a small run in with a black ink pad so I had to use something a little thicker to cover it up..I guess you could call it a happy accident..cuz I think it came out pretty cute and I never would have thought to use ribbon since Im so obsessed with twine lately. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I stamped the "get well soon" sentiment on the inside of the card. Thanks for stoppin by and I hope you all have a great week!=)

Paper Smooches Sparks

Happy World Card Making Day!! Today I wont be able to make too many cards unfortunately but I did get a chance to make this little card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. I just loved the inspiration this time..it really spoke to me, I tried to stay away from the obvious "baby" theme but I just couldn't resist..the colors were just too perfect for it=) I used the PS A Little Loving stamp set for the little ellies and sentiment. The polaroid is from the Lawn Fawn say Cheese stamp set. I ruffled up some ribbon at the bottom and sewed across it with my sewing machine. I added some green baker's twine and an itty bitty clothespin to "hold" the photo. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project and go check out http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/ for more info on the sparks challenge as well as all of their awesome stamps!=)

hello everyone,
It seems like forever since I blogged..I guess thats because it has been lol..I am so bad at making time to keep up with this blog..I appreciate all of you who still follow me and my sparatic posts=)
I have a couple of cards to share today. This first card is one that I made for my brothers birthday..this image is from tiddlyinks.com and I must say.. this little guy looks identical to my bro..I swear he must have been the inspiration because its so like him..from the tall skinny physique to the shaggy long hair and even the one un-buckled overall strap..and of course the fact that he is a contractor..maybe my brother did some work for Christy Croll at some point lol. Anywho..I used the MME Lost & Found 2 "Breeze" 6x6 pad for this card and I happened to have some little screw-headed brads in my stash that went perfectly a little brown twine and voila=) a pretty simple card.
This next card came about from an incredible urge to color up this little creeper Jill from The Greeting Farm. Ive had her for awhile now and hadnt colored her up yet..crazy I know! I also used the Echo Park "Be Mine" 6x6 paper pad along with some prima flowers, polka dot ribbon from my stash and the Amy R "Birthday Sentiments" stamp set. I gave her a little bling too just for fun=)

Thanks for stopping by!
