The papers are from MME sunshine paper pack and the sentiment is from Amy R Thank You sentiments. I wanted to say a big THANK YOU to all of you for your prayers and well wishes during this last week for my surgery,it really means so much to have all of you(most of which Ive never met) saying a prayer for me!..so consider this your virtual 'thank you' card from me to you!=) Well, I've gotta run and start dinner for the fam..have a great night!=)

Snow flurries

Hello Everyone,

Im back today with a little card I made with this adorable image from Sweet November Stamps..You can find her and her Fairwee friends at www.allthatscraps.com Now I am a sucker for fairies so when I seen these little winter fairwees I just had to have them! This little gal is " snowflurry Emaline" Isnt she the sweetest!? I must admit I am a little jealous of her snow..we are 5 days from Christmas and there is no snow to be seen in the forecast..:( I used papers from the MME Be Merry paper pad, punched a few snowflakes stamped my sentiment and called it good..of course the photo doesnt really pick up on the stickles I added to her either..I also used some tinsel-y string I had to add more sparkle=) This card was super quick to put together..and made for a great Thank You card.

Surgery is early tomorrow morning so not sure when I'll be back but if I dont talk at ya before Christmas..I hope you all have a wonderful one!=) toodles

a little birdie told me...

Hey Guys,
I wanted to give you a quick update on my surgery,I have been kinda busy since my ppt on Monday..I actually got all of my Christmas shopping/wrapping done in one day,its so much fun to shop for little boys and hubby and I did have to play with a few of their toys before wrapping them lol. Anyway, my surgery has been scheduled for Tuesday Dec 20th,Im hoping I can avoid getting sick until then..alot of bugs going around here lately and thankfully no one in our family has caught anything yet..so lets hope it stays that way!
I do have a quick card to share with you too..As some of you may already know there has been yet another Gorjuss stamp release recently and well of course I HAD to get some of them..I am still waiting on the rest of them to get here, but I got this one from www.allthatscraps.com so it came a little sooner .This stamp called "Bluebird's Proposal" I absolutely adore this image..her heart-print stocking just make me swoon!! I used some papers from MME grateful collection..I made my own rolled flowers with some of the papers also..I really love doing that because they always match perfectly=) I sewed crazily around the edges to add to the whimsy and added some pearls with my viva decor pen. Thanks for stoppin by and I'll be sure to keep you updated on how everything goes. Have a fantastic day!

Happy Birthday to You!

Hi all,

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted anything..as you may have heard I have been having issues with my gallbladder recently and just haven't gotten much done in the way of crafting. I go to the Doc tomorrow to schedule my surgery to have it removed..I never thought I'd be so eager to have surgery, but at this point "All I want for Christmas is my GB out" hahaha. Anywho..on to the fun stuff.

I needed a birthday card for my SIL and have been dying to color up this Birthday Gretel digi from http://www.allthatscraps.com/ I got her awhile back but my printer went out so I am just now getting around to coloring her. Its a little hard to tell in the photo but I used glossy accents on the balloons to make them a little more realistic and also some diamond stickles on her wings and the candle flame. The sentiment is from Amy R Birthday Sentiments and the papers are from MME Life of the Party. I added some sassafras flowers and pink baker's twine to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by and I shall see you soon! Have a great day!=)

No Peeking

Hey Guys,

I have another Christmas card to share with you today. I was just dying to use this Snowy short stacks stamp set that I showed in a recent haul. I stamped and colored(prismacolor pencils) three little elf faces to tuck behind the little presents I made just using scraps of BG Jovial paper pad. (i know it's old but it's the only semi-traditional Christmas paper I have lol) I tied some bakers twine to a few of them and added some half pearls also. You can watch the whole process here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=35Tk4yEsELE Thanks for stoppin by!=)

Be Unique

Hey guys,

Today's card is one I colored up awhile ago and never got around to sharing. I used a digi stamp from www.etsy.com/shop/SaturatedCanaryDigis?ref=si_shop I am totally in love with all of these images! They are so cute and playful and so much fun to color! I put a few glittery strands in her hair but of course they don't show up in the picture :( I used my BG Out Of Print papers..I really wasn't too fond of them at first but Ive used them quite a bit lol. I layered several of them on top of eachother because I couldnt decide on just a few hehe. I used some BG bloomers and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn "clear to see" Thanks for stoppin by..Im hoping to get some more cards made today so keep an eye out! Toodles

Christmas Elf

Hi All,

It has taken me til today to finally get everything back to normal from our vacation..for some reason I was super tired after it all..even though we pretty much just hung out most of the time. It was a very nice relaxing vacay..Idaho was beautiful..I seen more deer in one day than I have in my entire life..and my parents have a cute little fox that hangs around their house (most likely because their neighbors have sheep and he wants some lamb chops lol) But now that we're back Im ready to start crankin out the Christmas cards..so here's the first official one of the year.

For this card I used the Kraftin Kimmie "toymaker elf" stamp I LOVE him!=) I also used the basic grey Jovial paper pad and my new Christmas bulbs die from CC Designs..my new fave..I can see myself using this on pretty much everything..but I will try to resist a little. You can see how I put it all together here:
www.youtube.com/watch?v=YaH4B08f5Xs

Thanks for stoppin by and I shall see you soon!

I colored her up with my prisma pencils as usual and a sentiment from American Crafts. Thanks for checkin in and keep warm!=)

Paper Smooches Sparks

Hidy Ho Neighbors!

Im back today with a card that I made for the PS Sparks Challenge..I always have a lot of fun with the inspiration for these challenges and this time was no different..as soon as I saw it I knew I had to use my new Hero Arts tree trunks stamp..Im totally in love with this stamp at the moment!! So I stamped the front-facing scooter from the PS "spiffy Scooters" set, masked it off and then stamped my trees a couple of times with Walnut Stain distress ink..then I stamped the scooter again on a seperate piece of cardstock and colored it up with my prisma colored pencils then popped it up. Once again I went pretty literal and didnt stray too far from the inspiration photo..but its so cute I think it works=) I rounded the top corners of the image and card with my 1/4 inch corner chomper, added some brown twine for texture and slapped it on a white card base to keep things crisp and clean looking..its very retro, I love it! The color of orange and the woodgrain go perfectly together. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to go check out http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/ and join the fun! Have a great day!

It really finishes the whole scene and adds another dimension to the card=) I kept the layout really simple so the image could really shine..I used some of the Basic Grey Pyrus papers, sewed around the edges and that was pretty much it. Thanks for stoppin by!

Mojo..

I think I may be slowly getting my mojo back (YAY!!!) Ive been so bummed out thinking that it may not return in time for the Halloween Card series that I was planning, but now I believe the show will go on=) Ive already filmed the first vid in the series but will probably wait until I get the last of my Halloween supplies that I ordered before uploading anything. This past week my hubby was off and we celebrated his "birth week" lol so I didnt really get a whole lot of crafting done, but I needed a few thank you cards so here is what I came up with.

This first card I used some scraps of paper that I had lyin around. The blue dot paper is from Bo Bunny Whooligans (last years halloween line) and the rest I cant remember where they are from sorry! The little striped flags are a Studio calico stamp and the main witch image is from CC Designs..I colored her up with my prismacolor pencils as usual and the sentiment is from the Amy R Ghostly Greetings set.

And for this second card I used my new Paper Smooches "My Peeps" stamp set that came in yesterday..I just love these little birdies!! I used the MME Life of the Party papers..it was a pretty simple card to make and Im pretty happy with how it came out.

Anywho, as soon as the rest of my packages come in I will have a haul video for you all and then the halloween card series should follow soon!=) I hope you all have a great week!

On the Mend

Just another quick card share for you all today. I made this card a few days ago but am just getting around to posting it. I used my new Lawn Fawn " On the Mend" stamp set..my favorite image is this little bandaid..and you all know how much I love rainbows..I thought they went well together since rainbows are cheerful and whatnot=) I used several patterns from different 6x6 paper pads in my stash. The little pink ribbon wasnt exactly what I had in mind at first (I was going to use twine) but I had a small run in with a black ink pad so I had to use something a little thicker to cover it up..I guess you could call it a happy accident..cuz I think it came out pretty cute and I never would have thought to use ribbon since Im so obsessed with twine lately. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I stamped the "get well soon" sentiment on the inside of the card. Thanks for stoppin by and I hope you all have a great week!=)

Paper Smooches Sparks

Happy World Card Making Day!! Today I wont be able to make too many cards unfortunately but I did get a chance to make this little card for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge. I just loved the inspiration this time..it really spoke to me, I tried to stay away from the obvious "baby" theme but I just couldn't resist..the colors were just too perfect for it=) I used the PS A Little Loving stamp set for the little ellies and sentiment. The polaroid is from the Lawn Fawn say Cheese stamp set. I ruffled up some ribbon at the bottom and sewed across it with my sewing machine. I added some green baker's twine and an itty bitty clothespin to "hold" the photo. I hope you enjoyed seeing my project and go check out http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/ for more info on the sparks challenge as well as all of their awesome stamps!=)

hello everyone,
It seems like forever since I blogged..I guess thats because it has been lol..I am so bad at making time to keep up with this blog..I appreciate all of you who still follow me and my sparatic posts=)
I have a couple of cards to share today. This first card is one that I made for my brothers birthday..this image is from tiddlyinks.com and I must say.. this little guy looks identical to my bro..I swear he must have been the inspiration because its so like him..from the tall skinny physique to the shaggy long hair and even the one un-buckled overall strap..and of course the fact that he is a contractor..maybe my brother did some work for Christy Croll at some point lol. Anywho..I used the MME Lost & Found 2 "Breeze" 6x6 pad for this card and I happened to have some little screw-headed brads in my stash that went perfectly a little brown twine and voila=) a pretty simple card.
This next card came about from an incredible urge to color up this little creeper Jill from The Greeting Farm. Ive had her for awhile now and hadnt colored her up yet..crazy I know! I also used the Echo Park "Be Mine" 6x6 paper pad along with some prima flowers, polka dot ribbon from my stash and the Amy R "Birthday Sentiments" stamp set. I gave her a little bling too just for fun=)

Thanks for stopping by!

I made this card for my bff, we've been friends since kindergarten and although we haven't seen eachother in 10 years we still keep in touch and I've always sent her a b-day card. For this card I used my "Special Autumn" TGF stamp and the new MME lost and found two "Sunshine" paper pad (which I'm in love with) I don't usually use such muted colors for birthday cards but this paper is just so adorable I HAD to use it=) I used the labels 2 and 4 spellbinders dies aswell as the mini rolled rose dienamics die from MFT and my viva decor pearl pen in cream to add the pearl accents. And of course I had to use my new twine from the twinery in brown and sew around the edges. Well thanks for stoppin by and have a great day!

Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

Hello,

Today I have a card to share with you that I created for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge..Here is the inspiration photo and the card I made..I was very inspired by this color combo and even more by the texture combo. I used kraft cardstock for the base and splattered blue paint to add interest. I used the woodgrain screenprint from hambly, die-cut it and popped it up to give dimention and to create a bit of a shadow effect. The stamp I used is from the PS friendly flowers set and I colored it with my prisma colored pencils. I added a bit of bling on the top and bottom of the die cut shape and viola! I hope you enjoyed seeing my card and go check out http://www.papersmoochesstamps.com/

hooray for business!

Hi all,
Today I got a call from the owner of the store where I have recently begun selling my items and she is already ordering more stuff!=) she let me know she's only got a few cards left and that there were a few people "fighting over one of them" haha. So I went through and picked out around 20 cards I had already made up, (because I can't color any new images at the moment until I get my cardstock from papertrey ink.) I also found a few mini albums and signs I had made awhile back for a craft fair that never happened. I also ordered some business cards today from vistaprint.com..I got 250 cards for "free" and just had to pay s&h.. I just love seeing "rogue noodle" on something hehe!
Also some other exciting news for all you stampers out there..Paper Smooches Stamps is releasing their August stamps a few days early..tomorrow (27th) at midnight..and their sneak peeks look awesome! so go check 'em out!
I am off to spend some time with my hubby and the kids for the next few days..talk at ya later..have a great rest of the week!

Ready for Fall

Well, today I am hoping to get some fall cards/decor finished to put in my shop..I am so ready for the fall weather..the other day I put all of my fall decorations out to at least make it feel like fall in my house..even if it is 105 outside=)
I was doing a little online faux shopping (you know when you pretend you have money and put things in your cart that you probably couldn't afford even if you did) last night and I found myself picking out alot of cozy sweaters..lol hopefully when we go on vacation next month I buy some things I'll be able to wear sooner than later..or maybe I'll just have to wear sweaters in the heat and suffer in the name of cuteness=) Hope to have some projects to show you soon!

july 16

My hubby is finally off for a few days , yesterday we had to go do some shopping, so we decided to just have a nice relaxing day today. I started a thank you card but couldn't finish it cuz I just had to spend time with him=) It may seem silly but when he's home the boys and I are always around him.. like little shadows.we just love him so much and miss him when he works..even though he does come home everyday we only get to spend a few hours with him so it's nice when he's off. I enjoyed baking some cookies for all of us after dinner and then watching Phillip teach Shaden how to throw a tennis ball on top of the roof lol. Tonight I plan on having hubby help me dye my hair..I love my half blonde half black hair and I've had it for so long I'm kinda nervous to change it..but the bleaching is just too much up keep and rather expensive so I've decided to go with a reddish blackish burgandy color. fingers crossed=) And after that I think we will watch Arthur..I am pretty excited to see it, as anything with Russell Brand in it is probably hilarious. so that's all for now..hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The Creative Type Design Team!

Hello everyone,
It's been a very long time since I posted anything on this little blog of mine, but I thought I would try to get it going again and start off with some very exciting news!! I have been asked to join The Creative Type design team!! Yay Me!=) Of course I accepted without hesitation and I am very honored to be a part of such a fun team. The Creative Type is a scrapbook challenge blog where they focus on the typography/journaling of your layouts..which in my opinion is one of the most important parts of scrapping, afterall when I'm old and can't remember the little details of a specific moment in time, I'd like to be able to look back at my layouts and read the story that goes with the photo. So my first task as a team member is to do a little bio on the blog (which I am working on now) and then my very first project for the August challenge..I'm very excited to get started on it!=) You can check out the current month's challenge at useyourtype.blogspot.com
